Curriculum enrichment
We plan for a broad and rich curriculum which includes special events in school, visitors to the school and off-site visits
We sometimes have special weeks when we work off timetable across year groups, giving children the opportunity to learn together through a cross-curricular and creative theme. Here are some examples:
"Christianity around the World" RE Week
An environmental art and DT week called "Building for our Future"
"Shakespeare Week"
"See me as I am" a week on inclusion exploring disabilities
A geographical week exploring countries "Around the world"
Working with an artist in residence learning how to draw and paint animals
"Investigations" with an emphasis on Science and Maths.
Exploring stories by Julia Donaldson through the Arts with a special focus on Dance and Music.
Exploring themes of sustainability in "Protect our Planet" week.
Researching the History of our School.
"Spring into Easter" with a focus on the Christian story and new growth
"Stories through the Arts"
